Benoit Marguet

Champagne Marguet

Benoit Marguet’s philosophy is simple – everything you put into the land and the vines, you get back in the wine. It’s therefore no surprise that Benoit is one of the biggest proponents of terroir – whether on a single vineyard or village cru level. At Champagne Marguet, the winemaking is all gravity fed. Benoit is certified organic and biodynamic, never adding any sugar and using the most minimal amount of sulphur possible - depending on vintage up to 80% of the wines can be vinified without any sulphur at all. Since first bottling Les Crayeres in 2008, Benoit now offers one of the most extensive ranges of lieux-dit wines in the whole region. These lieux-dit wines from Bouzy and Ambonnay are supplemented by a number of village crus from across the Montagne de Reims and Cote des Blancs. These are pure and natural champagnes, yet they retain great elegance, finesse and a real sense of place.
